WE ARE A CHURCH AT THE SERVICE OF THE BODY OF CHRIST

2007 is a year God promises us (SLW) great expansion in every aspect as a church. The importance for us is to remain a church without walls. All Bible-believing churches though are many, form one Body of Christ, the Church of Christ. Therefore it is futile that we seek to compete with other churches or duplicate services to community in the same district without collaborating with one another.
The vineyard and the harvest of God is vast, and it is way beyond what one single church can do to reap the whole harvest. God loves to see collaboration among His children and churches for His glory. We should not be bitter about the success of the neighbouring churches for we all serve the same purpose and same God from different angles and capacities.
It is not a time for big fish (church) hoping to swallow small fish (church). All churches are founded and allowed by God for specific mission and vision of His and we do not need to be envious or competitive one against another. Faithfulness towards that vision and mission God has given to individual churches is essential.
Yes we are still a small church, but we are empowered with potentials and opportunities to serve God and His presence is no lack in our midst. We rejoice that God thus loves us and we want to give forth our best with the right attitude to serve Him among His people and the nations.
With the new year ahead of us, we just want more of God in our midst and every opportunity to witness Him. He must increase and we must increase so that the Holy Spirit can have a free rein to lead us to higher heights of worship and ministry.
